This was my first watercolor piece in over a year... and definitely the best one to date (cuz I've lost my watercolor set since then... ; ). It's still one of my favorite pieces out of all of my artwork. After watching Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust repeatedly the summer I broke my ankle, I decided I needed to do something with a darker hue and lots of wavy hair and pretty cloaks. ^^ What started out as a picture of D by himself ended up as a funny crossover between Vampire Hunter D and the wonderful Playstation game Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Since both Alucard and D are supposed to be dhampire (half-blood) sons of Dracula who side with humans and fight against him, I thought it'd be fun to do a pic of the two of them ready to storm Castlevania. ^^ Nutty, yes, but it came out purdy....
::grovels:: Arigatou~~ I ganbatta-ed on this pic! ^^ The effect of watching VHD and reading Angel Sanctuary at the same time is that you like all sorts of intricate details, ne? ^__~
LoL~~ Yeah, I think I like Alucard better, too! (I tend to prefer the hotties with silver-blonde hair... ) And he can turn into a bat or wolf or mist, which is better than D's left-hand of destruction... ;
